Water
Crystal Cleansing
Use the purifying flow of water to cleanse crystals quickly and effectively. Running water naturally carries away stagnant energy, making this a simple yet powerful cleansing method for water-safe stones.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Check Water Safety
CRITICAL: Verify your crystal is water-safe (Mohs hardness 6+). Soft, porous, or metallic stones will dissolve, rust, or become toxic in water. When unsure, use another method. See safety guide below.
Choose Your Water Source
Running water is most effective. Options:
- Natural stream, river, or ocean (most powerful)
- Running tap water (convenient and effective)
- Rainwater collected fresh
- Sacred spring or well water
Set Your Intention
Before placing crystal under water, state: "May this water cleanse all absorbed energies from this stone, washing away all negativity." Visualize water flowing through the crystal, carrying away darkness.
Cleanse Under Running Water
Hold crystal under gentle running water for 1-5 minutes. Rotate to let water reach all surfaces. Use cool to lukewarm water (never hot). Feel or visualize the release of old energy being carried downstream.
Dry Thoroughly
Pat crystal completely dry with a soft cloth. Ensure no water remains in crevices where it could cause issues. Allow to air dry fully before storing or using in energy work.
